Moogfest is an annual music, art, and technology festival that celebrates the legacy of Robert Moog, the inventor of the Moog synthesizer. The festival brings together a diverse range of artists, musicians, and innovators for a multi-day event featuring performances, workshops, discussions, and installations.
I was honored to help curate and define the festivals identity for 2018.
As the design lead, my responsibility was to develop scalable elements that seamlessly integrated across all platforms and materials for the entire festival.
The team and I established a comprehensive system of guides for mapping out signage, crafting art for social platforms, and creating animations for stages and event promotions. The conceptual foundation for Moogfest 2020's identity revolved around futuristic imagery, sustainable thinking, music creation, and emerging technology, paying homage to the historic and iconic brand of Moog Music.
I implemented sets of dynamically evolving stylistic assets which symbolized these concepts. These were prominently featured in promotional materials, stage animations, wristband designs, posters, and more.
